Privacy policy

Collectors Armoury is the shop at the Gold Coast War Museum, 42 John Rogers Road, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. Questions: sales@collectorsarmoury.com.au or 0460 765 686.

What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses when you order, sign up or contact us.
- Your order history and any messages you send us.
- For replica guns, antique-style pistols, cap guns and bladed items: a photo of your photo ID, to confirm you're 18 or over.
- Basic information about how you use our website, such as pages visited and device type, through cookies and similar tools.
We don't see or store your full card number. Card payments are handled by our payment providers.

Why we collect it
- To process, post and support your orders.
- To confirm your age and that we can sell you an item.
- To prevent fraud.
- To answer your questions.
- To send you news and offers, but only if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.
- To improve our website.

ID photos
We use your ID photo only to confirm your age and identity. Once we've checked it, we delete the photo and keep only a note that your ID was seen.

Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the shop:
- Shopify, which hosts our store;
- our payment providers;
- Australia Post, for deliveries;
- our email newsletter service;
- Google Analytics, for website statistics.
Some of these providers store information overseas, including in Canada and the United States. We'll also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies
Our website uses cookies to run the cart and checkout, and to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.

Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order records for as long as we need them, including to meet tax record-keeping rules, and then delete them.

Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you. Email sales@collectorsarmoury.com.au. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
