Colt introduced the Single Action Army in 1873, and the US Army adopted it the same year. Better known as the Peacemaker, it's the revolver most people picture when they think of the Old West.

You'll find the Quick Draw, an engraved presentation model, the long-barrelled Buntline and the Smith & Wesson Schofield, a top-break single action that was quicker to reload.

The models marked Cap Firing take caps, and the Peacemaker cap guns are an affordable way to start. Finish the display with a western holster and a set of .44 shells.

What does single action mean?

You cock the hammer by hand each time, and the trigger only releases it.
